Perfect Porridge

 

Here's how to make perfect porridge every time. Once you've mastered it, you can tweak the exact amounts to get it just the way you like it. Then you will truly be a porridge guru. 

 

Ingredients (per person): 

 

1/2 cup Rude Health's Daily Oats 

2 1/2 cups milk or water (or a mixture of half milk and half water) 

pinch of salt, if you like 

 

Method: 

 

In a pan - 

1. Put the oats and milk/ water in a saucepan

2. Bring to the boil slowly and simmer gently for 3 -4 minutes, stirring occasionally. 

In a microwave (850 watt) - 

1. Use a suitable bowl and do not cover. 

2. Cook at full power for 2 minutes and stir. 

3. The cook for 1 minute and stir. 

For microwave ovens of different wattage, adjust the cooking times.
